Forage Utilization

Forage production ends with feeding cows.

Often there appears to be a disconnection in farmers minds between growing and ensiling the forage crop and how it performs in the cow.

Frequently growers will suggest they are not getting what they expect from their forage through either poor intakes or poor digestion in the animal. The passage of whole maize grains through the cow is a frequent example of the latter.

Grass-Science highlights the importance of rumen in maximizing forage conversion.  As a result we are cooperating with BIOPARAMETRICS, who have developed an innovative model of forage and feed analysis that specifically measures the efficiency of the rumen in utilizing the feeds offered.

Grass-Science is pleased to offer you access to this analysis service as either a forage analysis service or, through BIOPARA-MILK a complete ration formulation service.
